The Shame of Scotland's High Streets !

Promenading along the main shopping thoroughfare of the respectable cathedral city of Dunblane, I was horrified to discover this window display in full view of children and sensitive pensioners.

What sort of depraved individual would patronise such a den of iniquity ? I spoke to one young man who was attempting to shuffle out  unnoticed with his purchase in a plain brown wrapper. He claimed that he had only gone in for a mince round, and by the look of him I could well believe it !

  1. There's a butcher in that same fair town who makes spectacularly good pies. Me mate in London, a Jags supporting recently retired university teacher, always buys loads when he visits. Fortunately, he passes a number on to me each time. Which is just as well, for him! Perhaps this is the very same source.

  3. What beautiful photographs. Makes me think of brown sauce and pickled onions. People just don't appreciate the importance of art like this.

    Sniff.....

    1. Hi Alen. Hope you are OK. According to the news this morning, the floods and landslides mean that England is effectively cut off from civilisation. No doubt we will be organising air drops of pies and other humanitarian supplies !

  5. It was Thursday you posted that, and I'm still laughing at "he had only gone in for a mince round".
